To the Minor 2 Cup Final
On Sunday, August 4, Carlow 2 reach to the Minor 2 Cup final after defeating Pembroke 6 by eight wickets in their home ground in Sydney Parade, Park Avenue, Dublin.
The Carlovians who won the Minor 2 Cup – their first trophy in 2015 following the club’s re-establishment, will play the final against the winner of semi-final between Sword 3 and Civil Service 4. Mullingar CC will host the final on August 18.

On the same day, Carlow 1 welcome North Kildare 2 at Carlow College, St. Patrick’s. Carlow made 244 runs and won by 81 runs.
The win has propelled the team to the top of Division 8 where the team stand comfortably as the last three remaining matches will be played at home ground in Carlow, taking on Ringcommons 1, Knockharley 2 and Wicklow County 1 on August 18, 25 and September 15 respectively.
Jimmy Dooley, the former secretary of Carlow Cricket Club made his debut on the adult team against North Kildare, performing incredibly. His uncle has played for Carlow Cricket Club before it was shut down. Now his young sons and he play cricket since its re-establishment.
Carlow 1 also play in the semi-final of Wallace Cup which will take place on August 11.
