The revival of cricket in Carlow is being put down to the arrival of Rohingyan refugees in recent years.
The Carlow cricket club is up and running now since 2011 where it was re-established in the grounds of the rugby club.
But they’ve now found a new home and will play their games in Carlow college on a new pitch set to open this weekend.
Jimmy Dooley told KCLR Live earlier that getting the club up and running again has proved to be a great way of bringing lots of communities together.
He said they’re really excited about the new grounds and hope to get a few new recruits.
